Pierre El Khoury, R.I.P

If you ever walked down the Concord area in Beirut and admired the graceful architecture of the BLOM Bank building, a pride of our economy,
if you ever stared at the greatness of the ESCWA building in Centre Ville, an icon of Lebanon’s role in the world,
if you ever demonstrated in front of Annahar’s shiny new building, a tribute to our freedom,
If you ever wondered who was the genius mind behind these beautiful and powerful buildings, then today should be a sad day for you.



Pierre El Khoury, a world-renown Lebanese architect and just another example of what we all aspire to be, has passed away yesterday at the age of 75. May he rest in peace.
